ESMO center managers attend 8th PAEPI Convention in Bohol
Tagbilaran City, Bohol - The center managers of the Extension Services Management Office (ESMO) of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) actively participated in the 8th Philippine Association of Extension Program Implementors, Inc. (PAEPI) from August 16 to 18, 2023.
With the theme, "Empowering Extension Professionals Towards Social Transformation and Food Security,” representing DHVSU in the convention were Engr. Inla Diana Salonga, Manager of the Technical Advisory Services and Technology Utilization Center; Dr. Dean Lapuz, Manager of the Community Development, Engagement, and Linkages Center; and Ms. Eloisa Mendoza, Manager of the Alumni Relations Center.
The convention aimed to promote continuous knowledge development by assembling a repository of best practices in extension from diverse State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), provide easy access to valuable information, share experiences, success stories, and lessons, and strengthen professional networks and connections, thus promoting greater technology transfer and development.
A highlight of the conference was the insightful keynote address delivered by Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, the President of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) where he talked about the Role of SUCs as an Engine of Economic Growth in the Countryside.
Furthermore, PAEPI, Inc. leadership is set to change with Dr. Hermogenes M. Paguia of Bataan Peninsula State University as the incoming president.

ESMO supports Brigada Eskwela 2023
The Extension Services Management Office (ESMO) of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) participated in the kick-off ceremony of Brigada Eskuwela at Bacolor Elementary School (BES) – Proper on August 14.
Representatives from DHVSU-ESMO included Dr. Riza B. Lintag, Dean of the College of Education; Dr. Dean B. Lapuz and Ms. Eloisa G. Mendoza, ESMO Center Managers; Michael Angelo Bacani, Extension Coordinator of the Laboratory High School; and Irwin Nicdao, representative of Dr. Benigno P. Legamia Jr.
During the event, all DHVSU representatives delivered messages reaffirming their commitment to extending DHVSU's services to BES.
Brigada Eskwela, a Department of Education program, aims to foster collaboration in education and volunteerism, with this year’s theme: “Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan.”

In celebration of the DHVTSU University Days and as an extension activity, the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy in partnership with the College of Business Studies, College of Education, College of Engineering and Architecture, College of Hotel Management and College of Industrial Technology, a gift giving outreach program was held on on December 18, 2018 at the Tinajero Barangay Hall, Bacolor, Pampanga. Gift packages and monetary donations were given to 30 children and 30 mothers respectively.
Outreach Programs for the Elderly – 2018
Programs for the elderly by the College of Business Studies and the Laboratory High School Department through the Extension Services Office at the Bahay Pag-Ibig in Holy Angel Village in Telabastagan, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. The Programs were carried out in August and October 2018.

Disaster Relief Operation in Masantol Pampanga, August 2018
The Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University, together with the Extension Services Office, College of Business Studies, Senior High School Department, and the DHVSU Sto. Tomas Campus, carried out a Relief Goods and Supplies Distribution to Flood Stricken Families in selected evacuation centers and vulnerable communities in Masantol Pampanga on August 1, 2018. The goods were donated by the DHVSU community.
Training on Dressmaking, Bartending, Bread and Pastry Production and Food Processing for Teachers from Potrero High School – May 8 to 18, 2018
The Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University, together with the Extension Services Office and various colleges, held a 10-day intensive training for teachers in Potrero High School. <edt>
Medical Mission in Barangay Northville 12, Sto. Tomas on March 24, 2018
The Don Honorio Venture Technological State University, together with the Extension Services Office, officials and residents of Barangay Northville 12, Sto. Tomas, 5th Fighter Wing of Philippine Air Force (PAF) in Basa Air Base, Kapampangan Development Foundation, and the Senior High School Department, held a medical mission for barangay Northville 12 on March 24, 2018. A total of 165 people, both adults and children, enjoyed free eye and medical checkups, glucose testing by medical volunteers. Free medicines were also distributed to the beneficiaries.
NC II Training on Dressmaking, Welding, Computer System Servicing from June 2018 to March 2019
Spearheaded by the Rotary Club of Villa de Bacolor with the assistance of the Rotary Club International, the Don Honorio State University together with the Extension Services Office, Training Services Office, College of Education, College of Industrial Technology, College of Computing Studies and the DHVSU Accredited Competency Assessment Center, held free training on dressmaking, welding and computer system servicing for qualified and out-of-school youths, unemployed adults and indigents so they can undergo the National Certificate Assessment, providing the beneficiaries an opportunity to prepare, start, and earn/support and live independently. The training was carried out from June 2018 until March 2019 at the DHVSU Bacolor Campus.
Solar-Powered Security Alarm System for Sta. Barbara Elementary School – January to March 2018
The Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University, together with the Extension Services Office and the College of Engineering and Architecture, provided a Solar-Powered Security Alarm System for the benefit of Sta. Barbara Elementary School in Bacolor. Initial talks and installation went on from January to March 2018, after which the School took over the alarm system’s maintenance.
