Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) completed its Strategic Planning Cum Capacity Enhancement on the [RA9184] by benchmarking the best practices and touring inside the campus of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) on November 17, 2023.
ASCOT's OIC-President Lora Yusi led the ASCOT team on this experience, while DHVSU President Dr. Enrique G. Baking and the members of the administrative council warmly welcomed the ASCOT team in touring around the campus.

DPC, CAS collab with ALS Porac West District for CASAUP extension program
To facilitate learning and enhance the writing and numeracy skills of ALS students while promoting awareness of health and nutrition, Don Honorio Ventura State University – Porac Campus (DPC) and the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) sealed a partnership with Alternative Learning System (ALS) Porac West District on November 17.
The collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Care-Awareness-Service: An ALS Uplifting Project (CASAUP) Extension Program that aims to address the educational needs of ALS students, many of whom have not undergone formal schooling.
The MOA signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Dennis V. Dizon, DPC Campus Director; Dr. Adonis A. David, Dean of CAS; Dr. Dean B. Lapuz, Center Manager for Extension Office; and Dr. Ednalyn V. Lansangan, ALS Principal-In-Charge.
The event was also participated by Dr. Myla L. Isip, Academic Chair of DPC; Mr. Cailvin D. Reyes and Mrs. Leila C. Cortez, the project leaders; and faculty members from DPC, CAS, and ALS, who will play distinct roles in the CASAUP Program.
Additionally, Ms. Vielka Roque and Mrs. Luz L. Lozano, Filipino Teachers, kicked-off the CASAUP by serving as the resource speakers of the initial sessions.

DILG Central Luzon conducts ‘BIDA’ symposium, inks MOU with DHVSU
In its fifth stop for the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) symposium, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Central Luzon visited Don Honorio Ventura State University on November 17.
The symposium hopes to impart to the youth the significance of having a drug-free community and maintaining a responsible lifestyle.
Participants from DHVSU had the opportunity to learn insights from resource speakers representing DILG Central Luzon's partner agencies and organizations, contributing to the realization of the BIDA symposium's objectives.
Additionally, DILG Central Luzon facilitated a ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) involving DHVSU and the Provincial Government of Pampanga.
The three parties commit to collaborate and undertake ongoing activities in the information education campaign against illegal drugs.

DILG Central Luzon inks MOA with DHVSU, 5 other agencies
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region III, through the Central Luzon Local Governance Regional Resource Center (CL-LGRRC), signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) for the establishment of the Central Luzon Consortium for Local Governance at the DILG Regional Office III, City of San Fernando, Pampanga on October 25, 2023.
DHVSU is one of the founding members of the said consortium, alongside the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region III, Angeles University Foundation (AUF), Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU), Bulacan State University (BulSU), and Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST)
“The consortium aims to create, develop, and disseminate various studies and strategies aimed at enhancing and promoting good local governance," as posted on the DILG Central Luzon Facebook page.

ARTA signs MOU with DHVSU
A ceremonial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing between Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) and Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) commenced at Quest Hotel, Clark City, Pampanga on November 6, 2023.
In line with RA 11032, this MOU will establish the first-ever Master in Public Administration major in Regulatory Management System program in the Philippines to be held at DHVSU Graduate School.
DHVSU was represented by President Dr. Enrique G. Baking; Vice President for Student Affairs and Services and concurrent Dean of Graduate School Dr. Dolores T. Quiambao; Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training, and Extension Dr. Ranie B. Canlas; and Vice President for Academic Affairs Engr. Reden M. Hernandez; and Dr. Eddiebal Layco, Planning Office Director.
Present as representatives of ARTA were Secretary Ernesto V. Perez, Director General; Dr. Karl Joseph Sanmocte, Regional Chief of ARTA for Southern Luzon; Arlou Kier Motas, Executive Assistant of ARTA; Susan M. David, Supervising Administrative Office Coordinator; and Regional Chief, Ms. Mary Grace B. Manabat.
Ms. Lora L. Yusi, Chief Education Program Specialist and OIC-Office of the Director of Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region III is also present at the event.
“It was in March 2023 when Sec. Ernesto Perez brought me to DHVSU to pitch this idea to University President Enrique Baking. Before we left the room, the great SUC of Central Luzon already embraced this. And since then, the rest is fast history: from hurdling the BOR [Board of Regents] up to acing it at CHED,” Sanmocte stated in his Facebook post.

DHVSU, A2K Group forge collaboration to heighten academic linkages
In line with the vision of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) of becoming one of the recognizable universities in the ASEAN region in producing globally competitive professionals, the university signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with A2K Research and Experimental Development in Engineering and Technology held at the Café Honorio on September 18.
The MOU signing indicates mutual understanding between DHVSU and A2K group in pursuing academic excellence, scientific research, student internships, and workforce development.
Offices of Research, Innovation, Training, and Extension (RITE) cluster will be the offices in charge of fulfilling the areas of cooperation which include faculty exchange, research opportunities, organizing symposia, advancement in teaching methodologies, student development, and promotion of activities and initiatives.
As a support to the activity, DHVSU executives, Dr. Enrique P. Baking, University President; Engr. Reden M. Hernandez, Vice President for Academic Affairs and concurrent OIC - Executive Vice President, OIC, Vice President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Dolores T. Quiambao, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services and concurrent dean of Graduate School; and Dr. Ranie B. Canlas, Vice President for RITE, are present in the MOU signing.
Directors, center managers, and staff under the RITE cluster are also present as guests in the small gathering for the grand opening of A2K Research and Experimental Development in Engineering and Technology local office.

DHVSU, IVEE strengthen ties with Language-based Tech-Voc Training
Rayong, Thailand – As part of the continuing partnership, Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) and the Institute of Vocational Educational, Eastern Region, Thailand (IVEE) embarked on a Language- based Tech-Voc Training program on September 11-15.
Over the past five years, DHVSU and IVEE have cultivated partnership and this collaboration is part of the Memorandum of Understanding inked between the two institutions following the successful 20-day English-Kapampangan-Thai Language and Culture program conducted in August-September 2021.
Dr. Mildred M. Crisostomo, DHVSU's Director for International Partnerships and Programs (OIPP), along with Ms. Joyce Ann M. Tolentino, Program Head for English Language and Short-Term Course, and Ms. Antonia B. Fernandez, a faculty member from the College of Education represented DHVSU's English Language Program to the faculty members across the nine colleges of IVEE.
Additionally, Crisostomo, Tolentino, and Fernandez delivered training to selected faculty members by demonstrating a contextually relevant approach to the English language.
The said partnership aligns with DHVSU's vision to be a leading institution in the ASEAN Region, dedicated to producing globally competitive professionals capable of advancing knowledge and technology for sustainable societal development through the OIPP. #

MMSU collaborates with DHVSU through library, museum benchmarking activity
In a move to enhance their academic resources and their plans to establish their own museum, Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) from Batac City, Ilocos Norte, embarked on a benchmarking activity to Don Honorio Ventura State University's University Learning and Resource Center (ULRC) and Heritage Museum on August 16.
The purpose of MMSU’s visit was to seek the efficiency of its own library system by observing best practices and creating strong linkages with State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), national libraries, special libraries, and museums. DHVSU was included as one of their partner institutions.
During the visit, representatives from MMSU engaged in sharing and cooperatively using publications and reference materials with their counterparts from DHVSU. The participants also toured around DHVSU's main library and law library.
One of the highlights of the activity was the tour of the DHVSU Heritage Museum, where MMSU's delegates had the opportunity to explore the museum's facilities, delve into the school's history, share narratives, examine the collection, appreciate the museum's architectural features, and gain insights into how DHVSU successfully maintains its relics and artifacts. This experience laid a foundation for MMSU's own goal of establishing a museum.
The benchmarking activity was facilitated by DHVSU ULRC's Director, Suzette B. Macaspac, and the DHVSU Heritage Museum tour was made possible by Theo Niño Angelo Ortiz, a representative from the Office of Culture and Arts.

To further strengthen the collaboration, Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Pampanga Manpower Training Center - Provincial Government of Pampanga held at New Sangguniang Panlalawigan Building, Capitol Compound, Sto.Niño, City of san Fernando, Pampanga on July 6.
The parties involved in the MOA signing have a long-term partnership in terms of exchange and various training modalities and methods towards promoting quality education and innovation, especially in the field of Technical-Vocational education.
Present at the event are the key people behind the agreement. DHVSU was represented by its president, Dr. Enrique G. Baking; Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training, and Extension (RITE), Dr. Ranie B. Canlas; Director for Training Services Office (TSO), Dr. Dynah D. Soriano; Manager for Competency Assessment Center, Dr. Anabelle F. Hernandez; Manager for Professional Advancement Training Center, Ms. Aileen P.
