DHVSU has achieved a great deal since it was founded 1861. As the oldest vocational school not only in the country but in the whole Far East, the university constantly strives to develop an educated, empowered and economically – productive Filipino citizenry through innovative and responsive programs embracing theory and practice.

Our main focus is on the creation of learner-centered community that encourage the intellectual development and transformation of students into leaders, critical thinkers and lifelong learners.

In the years ahead, the university is foreseen to nurture individuals who possess the foundations for learning throughout life, the competence to engage in gainful work and be productive, and the values and abilities to coexist in prolific harmony with local and global communities.
