President Enrique G. Baking delivers his message during the Opening Program of the ISO 9001:2015 QMS Certification Audit, held on October 16, 2019 at the University Hostel

In a bid to ensure the quality, safety and efficiency of Don Honorio Ventura State University’s services to its students, the University has sought for an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 Quality Management (QMS) Certification on October 16-18, 2019.

The international and independent organization Russian Register, represented by External Auditor Engr. Gene R. Gile, bestowed the verdict “passed” to DHVSU after a three-day inspection and audit on the University’s compliance to international standards in terms of program and service implementation.

“Together we can do more. By coming together, sharing together and working together we will succeed the ISO 9001:2015 certification,” President Enrique G. Baking said.

Gile commended the University for its efforts in maintaining quality research programs for the staff and its students.

The auditor also recognized the University’s mandate to admit students from minority groups like the Aetas.

Gile cited that while there were no major non-conformities done by the University, he noted that DHVSU’s process on archiving and documentation should be improved.

Engr. Reden Hernandez, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Emmanuel Parreño, OIC-Director, Quality Assurance Office, and Engr. Anna Liza Nacion, Head, Quality Management System (QMS) Unit, together with the University internal QMS auditors led by Dr. Eduardo Cusipag and Dr. Rowina Twaño spearheaded the preparations for said certification audit.
