DHVSU musician hailed champion at nat’l competition
An Nicole dela Peña, a 2nd year Bachelor of Science in Architecture student, was recognized as champion for the Instrumental Music - Violin as she represented Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) and the entire Region 3 in the 2024 Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges National Culture and Arts Festival held in Manila, and hosted by the Philippine Normal University on April 24, 2024.
Among the 16 competing regions all over the Philippines, Dela Peña’s winning piece is "Kundiman" by Nicanor Abelardo (National Artist for Music) and her coach is Dr. Rod Raguine, a Mathematics professor from the College of Arts and Sciences.
