10th Practicum Pinning Ceremony honors fourth-year social work studs

Amidst two consecutive unannounced power interruptions, the 10th Pinning and Vesting Ceremony for the 157 fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Social Work students continued at the University Auditorium on August 25.

The pre-internship ceremony was held to formally acknowledge the seniors who will enter the field and to orient them to the mechanics of their social work practice.

Ms. Ma. Azon P. Banda, a registered social worker and Ms. Joann T. Veluz, a parent of a fourth year student, served as guest speakers for the said event.

In her speech, Veluz stated that the fourth-year students demonstrated courage and determination in facing challenges and this made their parents proud of their accomplishments achieved through excellence and dedication.
